This has to be seen to be believed! Armless Man Drifting, There are many skillful drivers, drifters and race drivers out there but this Polish drifter Bartek Ostalowski takes things to another level altogether.
Drifting requires a lot of skill and if you thought drifting was some kind of dark art try doing it with No arms!
Bartek who is only 26 years old had to have his arms amputated 10 years ago after a bad accident, although this didn’t hold him back and through sheer determination, hard work and currently using a highly modified R34 Nissan Skyline, powered by a LS V8 engine, he is a Armless Man Drifting like no other!
Say no more, watch this inspirational video of the young polish drifter in action……
Goodwood Drifting, that’s correct this years Goodwood festival of speed will for the 1st time have a category for drifting. The Goodwood drifting is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
This year is the 1st time that Goodwood has acknowledged drifting as a motorsport. Although drifting has been around for many years in the UK it is only in the past few years that the sport has been growing in popularity in the UK.
Drifting is a fast growing form of motorsport in the UK and will only get bigger and better as the popularity grows!
`Mad Mike` Whiddet at Goodwood last year will be back to smoke up Goodwood again this year, amongst other Drift stars…..
VW Passat Drift Car with 900BHP! An unusual choice for a drift car seeing as they are a front wheel drive car but this is no ordinary VW Passat!
This VW Passat Drift Car would be used to compete in 3 Formula Drift events this season in 2015 and would be driven by Tanner Foust.
Tanner Foust should be a familiar name to Drifting fans, although he hasn’t competed since 2010. Tanner is well known in America, is one of the hosts on the American version of Top Gear also a 3 times winner of Global Rally Cross championship and a stunt driver. Foust is also making a return to Formula Drift this year competing in select events. Continue reading →
Mercedes Drift Missile V12 C600 beast! There are not many C Class Mercs around on the drift scene. Well what if you decide to drop a V12 lump into a C class? That is exactly what Amon Oliver decided to do 🙂
Fitting a W120 V12 engine mated to a BMW 530D gearbox into a C class might seem to be more effort then its worth but for this man Amon Oliver who is clearly a big fan of Mercedes, nothing else would do.
Looking at the results it does look to be highly entertaining.
Crazy Drifting at Lydden Hill. I thought Norfolk Arena Drift Practice was drifting fun at it’s best and it was great fun but this one at Lydden may of topped Norfolk Arena.
It was an eventful day to say the least……
It was a wet start at Lydden on the 26th of April but I was sure it was going to brighten up as the day went on! Had some wet sessions in the morning with my Blister Caz, which was great apart from not getting a full lap……drifters spinning of every damned where….
My bruv & Karen arrived around 11’ish. Got a text from Stel to say that she was on her way with a BBQ 😉 Things were looking brighter already!!!
Back at Lydden Hill 4th time lucky, for some more drifting fun hehe. The 22nd of March! Hopefully it would all go smoothly this time! Last time at Lydden on my 3rd Session the damn throttle cable snapped……leaving me with a long drive home with a hand operated throttle in heavy traffic! Fun, I think not…
After a run of drifting misery over the past month due to destroying the sump at Arena Essex a few weeks ago! This is a major problem when fitting the M52 engine into a lowered e30, as the alloy sump will be the lowest point on the car & worse still its at the front….beware of big speed humps!
You need a sump from a E34 M50 525, these are getting hard to get now and you will be paying extortionate amount of money for it. Then fitting the sucker, not so easy with the engine fitted. This time I made up a sump guard for some protection!
On top of that, had another little crash at the arena last week, on the same bend & the same f`ing quarter panel…….it was looking bad, had to get to work on it with some panel beating, not perfect but not too bad 🙂
Drift Practice Gone Wrong at Arena Essex…….What a shit f`ing drift practice this turned out to be…….Ever so short and Not so sweet!
Heading up the M11 towards Arena Essex with no traffic, arrived in no time at all. Signed in, paid up & went down to the pits. Taped up the lights, got the GoPro ready & queued up!
Time now for some drifting, drifting, drifting fun! Was having a great time & then on the last lap I spun of onto the dirt. As I rejoined the track, there was a massive bang, followed by loud banging and rattling…….not good……not good at all.
There was a dip in the dirt and the underneath of the car hit the f`ing Curb!
